City Soccer Initiative Fundraising Tournament

Downtown Uinted Soccer Makes Goals for Success

By NYFS Staff

October 10,' PIER 40, 9:00am - 1:00pm [Pier 40/Houston St]

For the first time ever, Downtown United Soccer will be collaborating with other soccer clubs to host this inaugural fundraising event, while planning to expand the tournament to engage dozens'more supporter clubs, representing teams from all over the globe.' The tournament will benefit City Soccer Initiative (CSI), Downtown United Soccer Club's charity program; which provides inner-city kids the opportunity to play soccer.'CSI serves 2000 children each week in NYC's' under-served communities and public schools, using soccer to make a positive impact on society.

'Several football supporters clubs based in NY: MLS, NY Red Bulls, Liverpool F.C. and Real Madrid have collaborated'to organize this fundraising tournament to support CSI's mission: To ensure that no child is denied the opportunity to play soccer for financial reasons.'
We believe this event demonstrates the power of soccer'to positively impact lives'beyond the game; rival supporters united for a common cause, sharing their passion for the game to'benefit children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This initiative is symbolic of a larger plan to change the face of soccer in the US by developing the game in urban communities.

Donate today and help Downtown United Soccer change the face of Soccer for kids in Manhattan.
